Baku, February 7 (News.az) -- Azerbaijan warned the ships moving in this direction due to the freezing of the northern part of the Caspian Sea.
The statement came from deputy chief of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration (ASMA) Ehtiram Rahimov told APA.
According to him, the freezing of the sea is observed in the shore of Astrakhan and ships of Azerbaijan don’t sail in this direction: “Our ships mainly carry cargo to Aktau and Makhachkala”. This part has not frozen. Despite this, we take necessary measures.
The official of the ASMA said that the National Centre for Detection and Monitoring from Distance, which was opened in December in Baku, twice a day, passes information to all ships about navigational security and weather forecast.
