JALAL-ABAD, February 8 (TCA) — The police has arrested the head of Hizb-ut-Tahrir extremist group in Kyrgyz region of Jalal-Abad, Interior Ministry’s press-service reported today.
“During the ‘Extremist’ operation, the officer of Interior department in Jalal-Abad region arrested a 40 year-old citizen – head of local Hizb-ut-Tahrir group and other members from Shamalduu-Say district, Jany-Jol village and the city of Jalal-Abad,” the ministry said.
According to the statement, the officer discovered a laptop, 3 USB flash cards, 37 copies of Al-Wayi book, 38 CDs and 6 textbooks during the search.
The arrested individuals are imprisoned in temporarily. The case is currently under investigation.
