BISHKEK, Jan 10 (Xinhua). Chinese President Hu Jintao sent congratulatory telegrams to Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the countries. Xinhua Agency reports.
The Chinese leader highly appreciated success achieved in bilateral relations since establishment of diplomatic recognition. He noted that after 20 years of relations between China and these countries a new historical start has reached. For the development of bilateral ties now wider prospects are open than before. The Chinese side is willing to work together with the above-mentioned countries to make efforts to deepen political mutual trust and cooperation for mutual benefit, as well as promoting peace, stability and development in the region and throughout the world.
Heads of the six above-mentioned countries in their telegrams also congratulated Hu Jintao on the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with China, expressing willingness to further develop traditional friendship and relations of mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas.
Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi also exchanged congratulatory telegrams with his counterparts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.
