Afghanistan: UNESCO, Japan sign $3 million Bamiyan cultural heritage project

KABUL (TCA) — The Embassy of Japan in Afghanistan and UNESCO on February 26 signed a landmark agreement in Kabul that will pave the way to bring the cultural heritage sites and other archeological remains in Afghanistan’s central Bamiyan province off the list of “World Heritage Sites in Danger," Afghan broadcaster TOLOnews reported.
