New USAID program to strengthen transboundary water cooperation in Central Asia

NUR-SULTAN (TCA) — The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced the launch of a new five year, $24.5 million regional water program, USAID’s Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment, that will strengthen regional cooperation on shared water resources and address current and emerging environmental challenges in the five countries of Central Asia – Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan said.
