Tajikistan: ADB supports upgrading of Sarez Lake monitoring and early warning system

DUSHANBE (TCA) — The Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of Tajikistan has signed a contract for the supply, installation, and commissioning of equipment and facilities to upgrade monitoring and early warning system for the Sarez Lake in Tajikistan. The contract is part of the National Disaster Risk Management Project financed by a $10 million grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), ADB’s Tajikistan Resident Mission said on November 26.
