TASHKENT — Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has fired the mayor of the capital, Tashkent, and several other officials for failing to properly prepare for the winter as a deep freeze makes its way across Central Asia, RFE/RL's Uzbek Service reported.
