BISHKEK, Feb 3 (Kabar). The day before a protocol signed in Tashkent on conservation of work of the United Energy System of Central Asia. Director General of National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan JSC Medetbek Aitkulov told the correspondent of the Kabar Agency.
He told that after long negotiations, the parties reached a consensus.
Earlier the Kazakh Unified Energy System recorded non-contractual electricity flows from Uzbekistan since September. Fluctuations on the border with Kazakhstan up to 700 MW of power takeoff or output were observed in the period. These fluctuations caused problems in Kazakh consumers' energy supply. Taking into account these problems, Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company earlier repeatedly expressed intentions to abandon the Central Asia United Energy System.
