BISHKEK, June 1 (TCA) – The direct charter flight ‘Bishkek-Antalya’ was launched from the Manas airport in Bishkek on the eve of summer – the time of summer vacation.
This was possible with the support from Turkey and Kazakhstan. Turkey has provided a charter plane Corendon, and Kazakhstan has leased it for the entire tourist season – from May to late October.
"We cooperate with many countries in Europe and Asia, and now for the convenience of Kyrgyz residents we have organized a direct flight from Bishkek to Antalya,” said Ali Ismailov, the director general of the Kazakh company Gulnar Tour. “The flight will not only greatly save time and money of Kyrgyz citizens, but will also provide comfortable travel.”
This important event in the tourism industry was preceded by long negotiations between the Kazakh company Gulnar Tour, the initiator of opening charter flights, and the Turkish airline Corendon, which already carries out flights to Kazakh cities.
On May 17, a modern charter aircraft B737-800 took on board 188 Kyrgyz passengers, and five hours later it has successfully landed in Antalya.
"Up to this point, Kyrgyzstan’s travel agents resold charter tour packages of Kazakh tour operators, who have already established over the years close ties with the tour operators of host countries. Earlier, all of them used to took of from Almaty, which increased the cost of tour packages due to the commission, transfer to Almaty airport and back, and expenses while waiting in Almaty,” said Aizada Sopuyeva, a representative of the Kyrgyz Ecotour company.
