Turkmenistan: Former president becomes member of Council of Elders of Organization of Turkic States

ASHGABAT — The website of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) reported on April 15 that former President of Turkmenistan and Chairperson of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh (People’s Council of the National Council of Turkmenistan) Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov became a member of the Council of Elders of OTS as the Elder of Turkmenistan.
